Wow, I bet this battle would truely be legendary. Also to be compared among the Sannin is no small feat. He had to have some heavy duty jutsu to be hated among the sand village. Elder Chiyo was old as crap and she still held a grudge.

But then again if anyone read Kakashi Gaiden they threw all those Kunai with the tags and you didn't see it but it was assumed that HE decided the battle right there. He can not flash without the tag though, correct?

first of all ( exactly yondaime fan) minato was a hokage( mayb the strongest) and the white fang was not..
idk much about the white fang..but if jiraya thinks that minato was a frakin genius and he created rasengan ( a jutsu that kakashi and jiraya wanted to learn) and the soul reaper thing ( that was the third's last resort for orochimaru) then id defenately go with minato...on the other hand we kno how early kakashi got in the anbu, and how strong he was..so i guess he was taught by his father, but it's still not as impressive.

Flying Thunder god technique. If The yondaime set up the battle field to wear he could implant a tag on the White Fang, that would allow the Yondaime to know his where-abouts and secretly get him the same way he did that Rock ninja in Kakashi Gaiden

Rasengan. Although an incomplete jutsu, This technique is a finishing jutsu that can take out even the strongest opponents if they aren't prepared for it. If Minato had lived a little longer i bet the technique would have been finished.

Cons
The Yondaime must place a tag on his opponents, or object, before he can use the Flying Thunder God technique. Which would take a while depending on the speed of the White Fang.

The Yondaime was only a Jounin during the White Fang's end. He may have been eligible for Hokage but even the Sannin are equal to that of the Hokage rank.

White Fang

Pros
Chakra Blade. The chakra blade was thre reason why the Konoha's Whire Fang got his name, not cause of his hair. It seems that the chakra blade can extend to a certain length. (Assumable 5 meters based upon Sasuke's battle with Deidara)

Cons
Not much is known about the Konoha White Fang. I also fear that not much more will be revealed about him since he doesn't really play a major part in the manga.


All in all the Minato would win. I also don't think that Minato would use that Death God technique on one of his own unless his opponent were like Madara Uchiha or something.

Because we don't know much about the Konoha's White Fang, who got his name based on the pure white chakra released from his sabre, not his hair, this is all pretty much one sided.

Yes you stated some facts but the facts are still incomplete. If you are going for face value then I guess most people would go with Minato. But I have a hard time betting on the unknown. Both men were reknown. He seemed to have earned the respect of Minato (My personal opinion from when he spoke to Obito about Kakashi's father). I can not in good faith put my money on Minato when we still know so little about Sakumo.

Also I really wasn't talking to you per say. You did have some good points but personally speaking I can not make a decision based on just that.

Because his entire array of techniques, everything that made him famous is totally twisted.
Everyone thinks he was some great ninja because he used a GENIN LEVEL TECHNIQUE.
I can see Creator of the Rasengan and the summoning and death seal jutsu, but the Body Flicker, nah.
But, Kishimoto said Minato is tied for strongest ninja ever, so no matter how twisted and messed up his logic is, it's true.
