Does anyone remember if Gaara still has power over sand when he is revived? I have no idea.

in manga 281 when naruto and gaara said farewell... in that part gaara offers hand to naruto to shake it, but he's so shocked that he doesn't react and then gaara lift naruto's hand with sand.

I thought he didn't. I think he still has the power to control and manipulate chakra but I don't think he still has the power for the sand to protect him like it once did.

i think he might not the automatic protection he had b4...but summer is right..he did use the sand

I just read that against recently. I am surprised I didn't catch that. I hope we get to see him in action again later on.

he has to control the sand and does ahve the absolute defense because his defensive techniques were from the Shukaku. Gaara can control sand but not to the same extent as he use to.

Gaara had the ability to use sand. Like Summer. said in chapter 281, Gaara uses Sand to lift Naruto's hand to shake it as a sign of friendship

so in other words.... he does have the ability to still use Sand

Well he still is able to use his sand duh. because all the sand is in his gore or however u spell it. well only the monster was taken out of him, therefore wouldnt be able to transform into that sand monster. so yea he still is able to use his sand.

He can use the sand power but it needs more chakra and they arent so strong

I do agree that gaara can again use his sand techniques, but as for manga chapter 281, I interpreted it differently, I may not be right, but I took it in as the sand acting on it's own, just creating immense nostalgia, but hey, he probably was controlling it.

He has to be controlling it right? it would just take more chakra... even temari made sand appear once when fighting sasuke as a distraction for gaara to heal a little during the invasion of the hidden leaf village. i think he can

he can still control the sand, but he doesnt have the floating sheild and he cant transform
