I agree with you exept the 3rd was old and not at full power. At full power he would ahve won, but not as fast a Itachi did against Oro. The only reason I would question this is becasue Kishi said the the 3rd and 4th hokages were the strongest dead shinobi, but theere are a few living ones still alive (Note: I think he stated this before itachi death). If one of these few are Itachi then yea Itachi would win.

Its really hard to pit someone against the sharingan becasue its a wild card. Its almost unfair. Its been stated many times that when faced one on one against a sharingan your only chance is to run. So I say itachi has it.

i agree and i hate it when ppl say that oro beat sarutobi oro had been getting ready for a long time for the battle and even summoned the first and second hokage to kill him and still barely won and would have died had he not been lucky enough not to get caught by the soul seal technique

And as for me, it's either a tie or Itachi wins.

If this the same third that fought Orochimaru then of course he would lose he's in his late 60's and has nowhere near as much chakra as he used to.

If it's him at full strength in his prime then the 3rd would crush Itachi.

Ya, and I dont really count Oro loosing all his Jutsu a victory. In fact, sarutobi won becasue his goal was to protect the village, and he did so :) And also Sarutobi was extremely old. Ppl think he was at his best, he was "barrely a shell of his former sell" (Quote from Itachi:D )

Sarutobi and Orochimaru imo really can't be used as evidence against Sarutobi.
This is probably the only fight where everyone can agree that the only reason Sarutobi lost is because he had to, not because he was inferior.
Had Sarutobi's time not run out in the series, he would have beaten Orochimaru. As he would've Itachi as well.

Ya in his prime, Sarutobi would be very strong, but we dont know how strong. Whether or not he could take on a shraringan user or not will never be known, but it would be one hell of a fight:3rd: :itachi:
