Even a scratch will kill Sarutobi. Sarutobi sure as hell doesn't have the evasive skills that would be needed to avoid any and all attacks from Sasori.

Not to mention iron sand, 100 puppets, poison smoke etc.

well if sakura and chiyo can beat sasori sarutobi sure as hell can beat sasorias goes for the iron sand sarutobi in my opinion is stronger than the fourth kazekage (or so i think it is the the fourth that uses the iron sand)so thats not a problem.Sarutobi knows all the jutsus in konoha so he probably knows a jutsu that could destroy the puppets.As for the poison needles and all sarutobi can block those with his enma staff

Sarutobi was never trained like a medic ninja. He doesn't have someone like Chiyo to pull him around and make sure he dodges all Sasori's attacks. He doesn't have Tsunade's strength either. He would need to do his best just to kill Sasori's first puppet. One scratch and Sarutobi is dead.
