Those sneaky NFL powers who be have hinted the league's annual selection meeting will be pushed back out of the month of April, starting next year.
According to the remaining 2009 and '10 calendar available for public consumption at NFL.com, the draft is set for "Early May." No specific dates were listed, but May 1 and 2 seem like logical choices.
So if you were planning a big Russian-themed bash or to prance around the May pole next year yet you're still a diehard draftnik, you might want to put those former plans on hold.
The good news is, the new estimated date no longer conflicts with the Coachella Music Festival in California or any major spring college football games across the nation.
