Viridian City

This little city holds the final badge trainers try to get their hands on: the Earth Badge. Conveniently, Viridian City is connected to the path that leads to the Indigo Plateau.

Currently, the Gym is closed. The Gym Leader is out of town.

However, that doesn't mean you can't hang out and battle each other.

Ricky walked out of his home, the sun was shining bright today. Despite the chilly winter air, he was quite comfortable. He walked down the street, passing the closed gym a big smile on his face, today was the day. He and his friends could go and get their first Pokemon today. His mom had helped him make sure his backpack was in order before he left, and now he was walking to Audrey's house. He reached the house and knocked on the door lightly. Hey Audrey, you ready yet?

[Nyanki]

The door opened immediately after Ricky had spoke. "Yeah, I'm ready." Audrey walked out around the young boy and looked about. "Where the heck is Jimmy?" Her hands gripped tightly to the backpack straps around her shoulders. The breezes that passed through blew the front strips of her hair about, and the edges of Audrey's hat wavered slightly. Wearing a long-sleeved t-shirt underneath a short-sleeved one, she was ready for the weather and to go.

[Kuro Nagashi]

Ricky sighed at the mention of Jimmy. I stopped at his house, he was still asleep, knowing him it will be a couple more hours or so before he ever gets his lazy butt up and gets here. Ricky picked up a small gravel and tossed it into the air, and caught it. He did this several times, he was used to Jimmy being late and then as a result Audrey getting mad and punching him later. So he just waited, like he normally would. He was wearing his favorite black hoodie that had a picture of a Loudred on it, musical notes coming from it.

A yawn escaped from behind the cover of a nearby alley way. With it, a figue walked out from the corner and out in to the road where Audrey and Ricky were standing. It was Jimmy, lazy.....and late as always. He was expecting his hourly punch from Audrey but this early in the morning he was to tired to care. The "explosion" of hair,(as his mother often called it) extending out from the opening in his cap was a mess. Messy strands of hair stuck out at various spots from under his yellow and black hat. His rub his eyes letting out another tired yawn. "Why do we have to leave so eeeaaarrrlly. I'm so ttttttiiiirrrrrreddddd." he complained loudly.

"Stop whining you sissy!" Audrey marched right up to Jimmy and punched him in his shoulder. Fortunately for him, the punch hit Jimmy's backpack strap partially, absorbing some of the punch. "The sooner we get our Pokemon, the sooner we get to play with them. And train them." The young girl flexed her right arm, placing her left hand on her muscle. "And get strong. Simple as that."

She pointed in the direction of the road leading out to Route 1 and ultimately, Pallet Town. "Let's go! Let's go!"

Ricky laughed at the two, tossing his rock over a fence and he began to walk at Audrey's persistent let's go chant. Okay we're going. With that he headed down the main road heading for Pallet town, and the professors lab, with his two best friends. Today was the day he got his first Pokemon, he couldn't wait. We're off to see the professor, the wonderful professor of Poke, because because because, she's the wonderful professor of Poke!!

Even though the strap of his backpack had taken the bulk of the punch it still hurt......alot. Audrey could punch, atleast much harder then Jimmy could, as much as he hated to admit it. At the mention of obtaining there pokemon his expression brightened up. He ran forward attempting to catch up with his two friends. He managed to trip over a rock and ended up tumbling face first to the ground. He picked himself up of the ground. There was cut on his forhead where he scratched it on the ground. Now, he was really far behind. Jimmy broke into a sprint until he caught up with Ricky and Audrey.

"Hey Ricky Whad'ya do with the money?" Jimmy spoke cooly pretending like nothing happened, once he had caught up with them.

Ricky chuckled as he heard Jimmy tumble behind them. When he caught up, he just looked and laughed. He patted his back pocket lightly. Got it right here. As the group walked they came to the edge of the town and the dusty road that led to Pallet town, now they had to be careful of lurking Pokemon.
