Final Fantasy

I was wondering how many of you have played Final Fantasy? It can be any one of the series. Tell me which game was your favorite and what liked best about it, or which was your least favorite and what you disliked the most about it. I liked Final Fantasy X the best, I loved the storyline and the characters.

I havent really played any of the games, but I've seen the awesome movie for FF 7 Advent Children.

I haven't played too many of them either, i've only played 8,9,10,10-2, and workin on 12. Advent Children was pretty awesome, I liked the final fight scene the best.

I used to play Final Fantasy 8 and X-2 way back and found them good. Agreed on Advent Children, it's a great movie.

I love Final Fantasy VII alot. I also adore the movie. My favorites are, VI - XII!~

I've only played 7, 8, and 10 so far ^^ I absolutely love 7 and 10. I'm trying to finish both of them right now at the moment, but I'm mostly playing 10.

Out of the Final Fantasy games i've played, X is the best. X-2 is a great game as well, and VIII is pretty good. I'm not really a fan of XII's battle system though, but so far the story seems good.

best game series ever. it no longer a sony exclusive. i cant wait for FF13 for the 360 cause i was thinking i was going to have to get a ps3.

I have played VII but I didnt get to finish it and now I cant find any one who has it. I've also played X and XII. I loved both of them. I prefer VII so far. I made it to the fight before you fight Sephiroth for the last time. It started freezing on me there. I was pissed. But X was great. Awesome story and just great all around. XII was pretty good. Its story wasnt bad either. I also liked the hunts. It was just something fun to do. But out of all of them VII was by far the best. The story was great, the game play was great (I like older games better) and the characters each had their own story which broadened the game a lot.

Advent children was super awesome. I bought it the first day it came out. Still not a single scratch on it.

If you want character development you should really need to try FF6 or FF3 in the US... What's weird is there isn't a single main character they all play their part in the story no one is above the other... Really liked the story too... no need for sappy love stories for a game to be great...

I'm currently playing Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerebus. =P
I realllllllyyyy wish Vincent had a sword sometimes. ><; I'm not good with gun gameplay.
Of course I've seen Advent Children as well. =3

I've played most of x (can't finish it), a little bit of 12 (pretty much hated it), a little bit of crystal chronicles (meh), kh1 (loved it), and kh2(major departure from the first but still ok).

From my experience the final fantasy series seems to be incredibly overrated by the gaming community.

My favorite is Crisis Core because since Zack was in it, I like it, and since those bastards Shinra killed Zack. Graphics, gameplay, etc... How can you not like or play any Final Fantasy games

This thread was created way before I joined. Anyways, I just downloaded FF7 and it's still in my top 3. I love the matera, cloud, and most of the characters. My least favorite is probably 2, then the first one. I have never played online or 12. Also, tactics for the playstation is one of my favorites in the series. Eventhough it's really hard.

If you hated 2 you will loathe 12. 12 is probably one of the worst rpg games out there. Between the faux mmo rpg gameplay style with "real time" movement and turn based attacks plus parties you have to buy commands foy (yeah you have to buy the options to customize what your party does) and the horrible spells as well as removal of such classics like ultima in favor of new spells like scathe it's just not FF anymore.

Intersting, I was never a fan of the real time movements like they had in crisis core. Which is actually one of the worst FF games, but it's more of a spin-off. The cutscences were impressive but thats the only thing I liked about it.
