Maybe, maybe not, While Sasuke attained his speed during the chuunin exam, he's also been training with Oro for 3 years, Sakura expressed her surprise at Sasuke's speed when he went at Naruto, so we can assume he got faster, and her shock also seems to point towards Sasuke being faster. In this fight we would see Sasuke use all his new MS techniques (whatever they may be) however until then we can only include what we have seen him do. So, early in this battle when they are both sizing each other up Sasuke will have the advantage because until Lee opens his gates and takes off his weights Sasuke is far superior in the speed department. However, as the battle goes on Lee will eventually open his gates. When this happens he will completely overwhelm Sasuke because Sasuke will no longer be able to touch him with his best and most commonly used jutsu (Chidori, Chidori Nagash [Sorry about spelling], fire style techniques [too many to say], etc.) Though Lee will have the advantage to this point Sasuke will still have a technique that Lee cannot overcome which happens to be the chidori current. I will not include Amateratsu as a factor because once the gates are open Lee will be too fast to be touched by them. Now, Lee must find out whether or not he can overcome the chidori current which provides both a great offense and defense. Lee unfortunately has no jutsu which puts him at a massive disadvantage. However, Sasuke no longer has that massive chakra arsenal because he has lost his curse mark. With that, the second he lets his guard down Lee will have him at the morning peacocks mercy (his strongest technique that he learned from gai; you can see it in the battle between Gai and Kisame) which means that until we find out the MS abilities gives Lee the victory.

I mean it culd rele go either way cause lee only knows taijutsu.
The reason i think it could go both ways is b/c i personally think sasuke would kill lee before he could open all of his gates.

Hehe! So true. One Sasuke lover is here atleast. Well analyzed. It goes to Lee till we come to know about Sasuke's MS abilities. I would also like to point out though that Kishi has said in an interview that Lee still has growing up to do. So we could also see something new from Lee awell.
Another thing worth mentioning is that during the Itachi-Sasuke fight, Zetsu was talking about the MS and said that one eye houses the strongest genjutsu and the other the strongest ninjutsu which were Tsukyomi and Amaterasu respectively in Itachi's case. So we can be sure that the same should be applicable to Sasuke's MS i.e he'll also have the strongest genjutsu in one eye and ninjutsu in another.
My point is that genjutsu warfare against extremely skilled taijutsu users like Gai and Lee becomes effectively useless until and unless you have something like Jiraiya's toad song, which offcourse no one but him has. Uchiha's biggest power is primarily their sharingan, which being completely eye-dependent sometimes also turns into their weakness (ex-Tsukyomi; eye-contact is necessary, Amaterasu-have to put ur eye focus on opponent). A weakness which can be exploited fairly well by taijutsu experts. Also, taijutsu people have fairly more amount of stamina, another disadvantage for Sasuke, since as MoD mentioned, he no longer has huge chakra reserves offered by the cursed seal... and we all know that MS use takes hell of a toll on the user. No wonder even Itachi said that Gai should not be underestimated.

Ok I will make a post here. There is to much stuff to ouoe so I will just make a few point. Sasuke is as fast as Lee with weights off. The only time Lee will be faster is when he opens at least one gate. Yes Sasuke has MS but we can not give him techs we dont know he has. Just becase Itachi had Tsukiyomi and Amaterasu doesnt give it to Sasuke aswell. So MS is useless so far here in this battle. I admit that Lee has the advantage as far as speed when gates are open. But I havnt completely decided who I think would win yet. So give me a couple more posts and thoughts and I will be able to decide.

Also no one better call me a Sasuke lover or fan cause I am the farthest from being biased. Because I really think this fight could go either way at this moment.

That was said just for a direct head on attack like Chidori for which Lee can't see a counter. It is irrelevent in other situations.

I'd like to point out that Sasuke is only as fast as Lee with his weights off. With the gates open (not all, about 2 or 3), Lee is much faster. And yes, if Lee opens 8 gates, Sasuke is dead. It was said that opening of all gates temporarily gives u power and speed even greater than that of a Hokage but it results in the death of the user.

Elaborate on the jutsu part, we have justified most in the previous posts. We are however not taking into account Sasuke's MS abilities since they have not been shown in the manga.

I don't even really need to comment. Everyone hit the major points here. He no longer has any power from Orochimaru as well too right? Itachi irradicated any traces from Orochimaru from Sasuke and trapped him in that everlasting genjutsu within the sword. Now Sasuke is closer to the pure Sasuke so now the next person Sasuke fights will show his pure Uchiha power. But against Lee, I doubt he can handle him from what we have seen. This is MY Opinion but I think Lee has far more stamina than Sasuke does also. I think his speed can not be maintained for long periods of time whereas Lee has trained his body for that.

There is no proof to say Gai taught him how to fight a Sharingan user, Gai was actually teaching Lee to fight Neji. Genjutsu cannot simply be ruled out as it would still be a large factor in the fight, Sasuke can use the same Genjutsu he used against Deidara, which Lee would not be able to counter at all. And with such a wide diverse array of ways Sasuke can attack Lee, Lee is completely out matched and cannot beat Sasuke with Taijutsu alone.

You seem to be forgetting that the gates put an intense amount of strain on Lee's body and if he cannot get the job done in that time he is beaten. Sasuke has the following options when Lee uses the gates: Genjutsu, Chidori Nagashi, using time/space jutsu to buy himself enough time for lee to completely tear his own body apart.

What proof is there that lee has been taught how to fight a sharingan user by looking at there feet? you can't just assume that!!!! if your assuming that lee has been taught that then we could assume wat sasuke sharingan does? no Without actual proof we can't know and since we dont know it cant be applied.

It has been stated in the manga, but it was the very early chapters. Also, it can be used because Lee knows everything Gai knows in terms of fighting.

That is not proof. Show me where in the manga how Lee knows how to defend against Sharingan and i'll say you're right, but until then you are wrong and Lee cannot defeat Sasuke.

Exactly, just as it was in their first fight. Sharingan was negated because of Lee's speed. The same could be said for this fight.

You are just not suppose to look into it, and since Lee already knows Sasuke has the sharingan, there would be no element of surprise and knowing Sasuke's strength, Lee simply would not hold back. Lee can atleast easily open 5 gates, and at such speed and strength the sharingan becomes useless... because Sasuke's body won't be able to react. His ninjutsu would not be able to get Lee and at such amazing speed, eye-contact for genjutsu is impossible.

The difference between Lee and Gai is that Gai is far superior and has been training specifically to combat Kakashi, where Lee has no real experience fighting Sasuke and the Sharingan. Lee would be overwhelmed by Genjutsu, ninjutsu and even Sasuke's Taijutsu would be too much for Lee, The gates are Lee's only hope at winning and that's not a guarantee, against someone who's improved to the point where he stomps around a 4 team squad with no effort at all.

Even with the gates Lee could not defeat Gaara and Sasuke is way above and beyond Gaara's capabilities, they are not a guarantee that Lee will win. Sasuke's Taijutsu is beyond Lee's, until he opens the gates, but until he does open them Sasuke is superior in Taijutsu ability. Genjutsu does not become useless because Sasuke's abilities in Genjutsu rival Itachi's, every single fight he has had since the 2nd part he has used Genjutsu, and unless the Gates somehow Negate Genjutsu Lee is fair game in the entire fight for Sasuke's Genjutsu.

Actually, you have confused yourself not the other way around. Go back and read my very first post in this thread and you will see that I said Sasuke and Lee are at the same speed when Lee has his weights off, and that when Lee opens his gates he becomes far faster than Sasuke. Also, in my first post I said that Lee was slower than Sasuke with weights on.

Sasuke is not well versed in Genjutsu? read up abit, every fight Sasuke has had in part 2 he has used Genjutsu, he is up there with Itachi in genjutsu ability. Ninjutsu is not useless as Chidori is a ninjutsu, Chidori Nagashi, Chidori needles Sasuke can use Chidori from any part in his body it is far from useless. And in those moments, Lee could be caught in Genjutsu and seeing as how he has no talent at all in Genjutsu it will be as bad as Naruto being caught against Itachi.

The only time Itachi let up against Sasuke was with Susanoo. Itachi and Sasuke were on even level with Genjutsu ability. Lee knows Sasuke is strong, but he does not know HOW strong. He will try his luck with without the gates, because the gates are a last resort for Lee. I don't care how many times it was stated in Shippuden it is not proof you want to argue Shippuden argue in dubbed, nowhere in the manga did it even say Lee can use everything Gai can.

Sasuke supporters have also repeated the same things over and over again... so they had to be justified.

Gai is currently one of the strongest nins in Konoha and he merely uses taijutsu and can open gates and Lee is following in his footsteps. No Deidara infact did not get caught in any genjutsu whatsoever.

The gates are actually all powerful... and the burst of speed and power lasts for quite a while... and during that time Sasuke has no chance to keep up with Lee.

It is pretty clear that you are a Sasuke fan and are being a little biased here. Till Sasuke reveals the new abilities of his MS, I'm afraid this battle does infact go to Lee.

This is not a battle simulation. And chidori nagashi won't even hit Lee... he's too fast with the gates open. All Sasuke can use Chidori Nagashi for is defensive purposes. And Ch.N isn't a big deal actually. Sasuke is just extending the range of his attack but he does compromise with it's potency. Seeing that Sai and Naruto did not die or get incapacitated on contact.

I think it would be a good fight.Seeing as the status is in the Manga Im going to say Sasuke even though it would be tough.Sasuke has the Mangekyou charingan.Wich means Tsukiyomi wich means just about impossible to escape.Sasuke is faste rhten Lee unless he releases the gates.But if Sasuke is able to withstand that he culd defeat Lee becaus eafter that Leee is near death.Plus theres Karin.Sasuke has all those long ranged moves as well.There is also chdori nagashi to stop Lee duirng cloose combat.

They are the ultimate double edged sword, not the ultimate weapon. If lee can't get it done he's dead. While all Sasuke has to do is buy as much time as he can, which he could use Genjutsu, Chidori Nagashi or his yet to be shown Mangekyo.

And forbidden training means alot when it's coming from someone who it leagues ahead of Gai.

I'm not underestimating Gai.

But to say Kakashi is stronger than Orochimaru, when Kakashi nearly crapped himself at the thought of fighting Orochimaru is just plain ridiculous. Gai is considered equal to kakashi, which is the reason they're rivals (or in Gai's mind anyway).

It's not impossible when your opponent sucks at genjutsu and would be easily caught inside it, while Lee is busy fighting his shadow Sasuke would easily sit back and file his nails or something.

Did Gai teach Lee how to fight genjutsu type ninja? I know he looks at their torso and feet and predicts their movements, must be really hard. It would greatly help if Lee were to fight Sasuke.

he's been taught how to fight a sharingan user by a guy ,named gai, who has experience fighting sharingan user who isn't an uchiha. plus sasuke is faster than lee and he might be better in taijutsu.

first u can't compare wut has happened in the chnin exams seeing how this is many years later, and second sasuke will be able to copy the gates if lee trys to use them, even without the gates sasuke is faster than lee.
