I was just watching a news show.
One idiot said that, and I quote,

"Nothing good will come from disproving of the nuclear weapons, there's the waste and the scraps and it's just too much work for too many people,"

Once again people find a way to blame the democrats for everything, this though, is crossing a line. This is saying Democrats are fools for making peace.

Idk where you live but I think I'm the one who lives the closest to dangerous stuff like that.
Only about 5 miles away from a Missile Silo. I hate that DDDX.

Any kind of nuclear powered reactor is banned on the Italian soil...
This unfortunately means even Nuclear Power Plants, which would make us energetically independent from France...
Plus, beacause of NATO regulations, US military bases in Italy are allowed to store nuclear weapons, so actually we aren't even getting all the benefits of the ban.
Just figures XD.

Anyway, nuclear weapons are one of mans greater mistakes, but are also one of the things that are keeping the balance between countries since the cold war. So dismantling them isn't as easy as waking up one day and deciding "Oh, let's just start dismantling our nuclear arsenal".
It should be supervised by a international union, which could control the disarming to be unilateral. The UN? Maybe. But I don't know enough on international regulations to know if it's possible.
