The meaning of life?
*rephrased to* Why did life come in the first place?
For the religious <_<
"The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are
true children of an infinitely loving and merciful God,
to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator,
and to fulfill those responsibilities."
http://www.meaning-of-life.info/TheMeaningofLife.html
but for my own answer, why life began.
I think life is a form of evolution, where being living we have an advantage over the non-living, but that just explains why we continue the 'living' generations.
The meaning is no more than an anomoly or possibilty that eventually occurs within the vast experiment of the universe.

well, i think everyone will in result will have thier own meaning inlife, like some people think it's family to live for, or to mke the world a better place, or helping people, stuff like that.
I dont really think there is a true meaning for life. Life just happends. Humans throughout histoy have expressed their opinion on life in many different ways, art, music, literature, and no one can really say for sure if anyones opinion for the meaning of life is really true or not. Is there a god that created everything for a divine purpose, or did everything just happen on its own? It is possible that there is a god, who started the big bang in a way that set forth in motion events that would make conditions right for life to occur. In reality, we as humans may never really know for sure if there is a grand purpose for life, or if its just something that happens when conditions are right, but thats just my opinion.

The meaning of life is meaningless as knowing it wont mean anything once your dead. Will it really matter if you know the meaning of life before you die because once you die its all over whether you knew it or not.

I am mormon and this is our answer to this question.
You’re part of an eternal plan, you lived with purpose before you came to this life, that this life is a mission and not just a career, and that we will step over the veil someday but keep on going and growing. We our hear to be tested of our faith and loyalty towards god, all of us.

My answer to this question, is very simple. Do not think about the meaning of life, if one contemplates this meaning too much you'll never find an answer and drive yourself crazy, many have done this in the past. The more you dwell and questions that dont have immediate answers they will always elude you. The meaning of life is something that one realizes towards the end of their life as they revel at what they have accomplished, failed, and made mistakes on in the past. Some may find the meaning of life for them to be acceptance, finally coming to terms with the life they led (whether good or bad). The meaning of life completly differs from person to person, to me there does not seem to be, or can be, a generally accepted term for the meaning of life. I do believe that everyone has a purpose, but there are very few who choose to realize their purpose and waste away who they are (and could turn out to be) and what they could have done.

I can tell you right now that's wrong.
1. Religion has nothing to do with this.
Second of all if that was our purpose either God's one twisted f**k or We're doing a pretty crappy job.
The Purpose of Life is to Die and the purpose of Death is to Live.

the meaning of life is to love and be love. our strive for prefection through love is a reason for life. through love we reach perfection. through perfection we find meaning. with meaning we have wisdom. wisdom leads to peace. peace ends in harmony. a voice in my head said that

The meaning of life and to exist.... I think the meaning of life is to figure out what it means to live... Life can be lived in any way... good or bad.
No one knows what the actual meaning of life is. Some say that we're all being used by God to fulfill whatever he wants. Some say that there really is not meaning to life.
The reason why we all live and exist in the world... I think it is the find the reason for being created. To live and find out what our purpose is.

Most of the time killing endangered wildlife is to build land.
Killing Wolves I have no problem with.
They scare the bejesus out of me and they want to kill me, it's self defense, they attack you, why would you not defend yoursef?

Hey, hey, hey. You kill a wolf, someone who may be obsessed with them kills you. Though, its not going to be me. I dont got the heart to kill.
But For one, why would you be so close to one for that to happen? Second, Wolves, I think, are awsome. three, Sure, I'd try and protect myself, but I wont kill a wolf.

Well seeing as the Biologist is right behind me I see no reason to post but, we are the perfect distance from the sun, Venus and Mercury are too hot and will kill you. Mars has a weak atmosphere, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are gas planets and Pluto is a frozen ice ball where we would ultimately freeze to death on.
-sage-

the planets are signs of harmony. all but earth live in its own peace. each peace is from the planets wisdom. the wisdom was caused by perfection. perfection was achieved through the creators love. the voice wont stop
majinsharingan
03-22-2008, 12:21 AM
^^Yeah the Voice is wrong there.
1. There's no peace, never was peace, never will be peace.
2. I don't think we necessarily deserve the Creator's love.
3. Nothing is Perfect.
4. That voice is too optimistic and not enough realistic.

Nor is there perfection in anything.

whats sad is im multi-religous. and all things have two things. Chakra and Peace. the planets stood since time began. perfection is achieved through love but love takes time.
Uchiha-Madara
03-22-2008, 01:25 AM
^ yes it does, but if we the people who inhabit this planet are not willing to take the time to achieve said love and peace, and are not willing to look past their own lives to the bigger picture then i do think we will never see the light of peace
-sage-
03-22-2008, 01:36 AM
what is the light of peace, but harmony. few things reach perfection. a person cannot reach perfection because we want. a rock does not want therefore is perfect. in perfection is meaning and with meaning lies the wisdom we are to blind to see. to see the wisdom leads to peace.

if harmony is reached so is inner perfection. without peace, harmony is not able. without wisdom peace is useless. without meaning there is no need for wisdom. without the strive for perfection, meaning cannot be attained. without love we cannot strive. these are the steps to existance i have been told. they are truth.

The meaning of life is to suceed both physically and mentally. To push yourself to be the best man or women you can be. The meaning of life is to be as close to God as you can and achieve nirvosa or what I call a state of peace and achievment. The meaning of life is to push yourself to accomplish far more the goals you have set for yourself. When you reach a peak you continue one and push yourself beyond the limits. When you achieve all you can you find more to do and accomplish that. That is the meaning of life.

It has been the subject of much philosophical, scientific and theological speculation, and there is a huge variety of views concerning this philosophical problem.
