My favorite characters are Mark and Angel and my favorite songs are "The Tango: Maureen","Rent",and "La Vie Boheme".

I think Angel shouldn't have died. :( I also think "Christmas Bells" should've been in the movie and maybe "Contact",but not if they wanted it to stay PG13.I also think "I Should Tell You" shouldn't have been in it.It takes away from the high-energy power of "La Vie Boheme".

I love RENT its amazing i have the DVD and Soundtrack, just a bit RENT information, did you know the person who wrote the musical died on the opening night, how sucky is that. But yeah i love this musical its rocks my socks

I have a copy of RENT,too.I have most of the music on my ipod shuffle.I also have Anthony Rapp's book about it.

Jonathan died the night before the Broadway Opening night.Anthony talked about it in his book and his and the rest of the cast's reactions to the sudden death.It's really sad.

I'm in northern NY about 20 minutes away from the Canadian border.I'm 5 hours away from NYC and I've never been there in my life. :( Going there to see RENT would be one of the coolest things I've ever done in my LIFE.Right up there with taking my first trip REAL trip to Montreal to go to Warped Tour with my cousin.Hell,it could SURPASS going to Canada.

Jon's (unfortunately) been dead since RENT made its Broadway opening.But he was the future of musical theatre and aspects of some of the characters were based on him.

It's actually right before Angel's funeral...a way of saying "don't show grief in the face of death,but remember the pleasantries that the deceased brought into your life"-namely Angel.Which is exactly why part of it says "How do you measure a year in the life?How about Love?" Because all of them knew each other for a year.
