The Dark Knight Pre-Review (no spoilers so its breif)

Well after watching about 15 minutes of footage from the movie the feeling I got from this is its a smart movie that may be rated pg-13/14a but it has more mature subject matter than most r-rated movies.
Also it seems to be 2.5 hours of non stop plot/action scenes. Reviews also confirm this.
The major flaws from what Ive read so far are its "too long", its not a fluffy superhero movie, Its a very dark and broody movie, it deals with a lot of modern day issues and may be confusing to less intelligent people and you can't catch it all in one viewing.

The pros from what Ive seen and what reviews say are Ledger does a perfect job as the Joker, its one of the best crime-thriller movies created, it sets new standards in the super hero movie category and the dry wit given from Alfred and Gordon is nearly priceless.

If you like intelligent dark and incredibly moody films with lots of action and plot this is for you.
Current over all rating is 8/10 according to rotten tomatoes.
Current fan rating is sitting at 9/10

As soon as my pay cheque clears today I'm buying a ticket (if I can still get one) for Friday night and two for Saturday (have a date who wants to see it with me)

I saw the previews at the movies. I don't usually like those type of movies, but when I saw the joker, I wanted to see it. It looked interesting. I doubt I'd ever see it, though.

It was boring to me at first...Then, I saw the Joker. He reminds me a little of Lucy. I'm so seeing this movie.

Well I'm going after work tomorrow. I'd go to the midnight show but I have to work tomorrow. From what the reviewers say its a masterpiece or close to it.

It was good. But its hard to compare to the old movies. The oldies were just classics. Jack Nicholson was really good to as the old Joker. I liked the Joker in this movie. I just dont think Christian Bale plays Batman all to good. Dont get me wrong awesome movie though. But I liked Batman Begins about the same. It goes into all the detail on how he became batman and where he learned his skills from.

But I do gotta give it up for Heath Ledger as Joker. He played an awesome Joker.

I'm going to completely disagree with you on that, Bale plays batman perfectly. Batman was always an obsessive control freak who deep down wasn't a very nice person.
But thats according to the comics.
Also I hated the old Joker, they made him funny rather than sadistic like he was in the comics and even in the cartoon series. Nothing good came out of the old batman franchise unless you consider bat nipples a blessing to the franchise.
