Pein's eyes are a result of a kekkei genkai called Rinnegan, which was just found in CH. 373. Out of Byakugan and Sharingan, this is supposed to be the greatest of the eye jutsus, na-no-da.

Just to make things clear, I didn't make this up. I got this info from a member of another forum, who got his manga scans translated. It said Rinnengan...well, according to his translations, na-no-da. ^_^;;

[HisshouBuraiKen's Notes, "Rikudou", is a Buddhist term. See the explanation at the end of the translation. It's kind of neat.]

I always discounted those stories as myths and folktales...

About the "Rikudou" - This is a buddhist concept, and I'm going to simplify it to an extreme degree. The "Rikudou" are the six "lower" paths that humans find themselves walking if they don't learn any of the teachings. The four "noble" worlds are the ones we live in as we strive for enlightenment. Collectively, they're known as the Ten Worlds, and they are:

(1) Hell--intense suffering and despair.
(2) Hunger--insatiable desire.
(3) Animality--selfish stupidity.
(4) Anger--arrogance and belligerence.
(5) Humanity--temporary balance and tranquility.
(6) Heaven--passing joy and pleasure.
(7) Learning.
(8) Self-realization.
(9) Bodhisattva--altruism.
(10) Buddhahood--supreme happiness characterized by compassion and wisdom.

That was the name.....He was right. We just dont know the other 2 great doujutsus. Sharingan and Byakugan are supposedly the other 2 but people are saying Sharingan evolved from Byakugan so it couldnt be sharingan.
I think that there may be one more great doujutsu.

I think that there may be one more great doujutsu.

Even if Sharigan originates from Byakugan, its still 2 Doujutsus, but notice that it was "The 2 Great Doujutsus"... Meaning that there could be more doujutsus out there.
