Personally, I thought that was pride talk. The Bayakugan is a helper for their Jutsu in Taijutsu, while the sharingan make illusions and copies.

Sure Sasuke hasn't beaten Kakashi, but still, Kakashi couldn't beat Deidara, but Sasuke did.

But the only way Sasuke beat Orochimaru was because of his battle with Naruto.

a kekkei genkai is a blood line, for example the sharingan or the byakugan
you can't learn a kekkei genkai and even the sharingan can't copy it

sasuke has the sharingan (because he's a member of the uchiha clan)
kakashi has the sharingan too (from his probably dead friend obito uchiha)
kakashi is the only one with the sharingan who is not member of the uchiha clan

so if kakashi fought sasuke it would be a battle between sharingan eyes

Byakugan, byakugan, byakugan all the way.
It's more powerful and it'll slow-mo your enemy's attack. You will be able to attack before your enemy does. Copy techniques? Make sure you're a better user of that jutsu before you got killed. Use the copied technique to other enemies - don't waste too much chakra when you can do it with your own technique + more powerful eyesight + useful for defense (it'll slow-mo your opponent's attack).

I think most of the people here doesn't like the idea of varicose veins (appearance) at the side of their eyes through the side of their faces. Never be intimidated!
