"Go forth and serve your porpose." the voice echoes.......and suddenly, your eyes snap open......you are floating.....floating in a tank of red fluid.....a breathing mask covers your face......you are fully dressed, but your clothes have a strange, slime coating...seeming to keep them dry......but this is not all.......needles, hundreds of multiculoured needles and IV's stick into your flesh.......but then...the liquid begins to drain.......and the glass on the outside of your tank, slides away.......

Bob awoke and confused as to where he was, he scratched his head and rose forward to hit his head on the top of the tank.." Ouch that hurt," he said with tears running down his cheek.

He pushed the door of the tank open and jumped out, still confused to where he was. Nothing stopped him as he ran straight off into an unknown direction, running at the average speed of D.I.E.

Akira wanted to scream. Thoughts of death and destruction pounded inside her head. Fear filled her body more then anything else. There was a horrible look of agony aross her innocent palid face as the glass lifted up. She fell from the tank onto the hard cold floor panting heavily as the wires connected to her ripped off. A hurt expression spread across her face. He lip quivered. Where was she?Who was she? Most important of all. "Where was Roland?"

Roland endured the nightmares as he did everytime he was faced with that obstacle. It didn't matter. Nothing seemed to matter. Living life in a continuous cycle. It got redundant. Living without a purpose. The glass cover of the tank slowly opened. He ripped off the wires connected to his body. The familier sense of amnesia overcame him. He didn't remember where he was or how he got there. There was one thing he couldn't forge though. He noticed Akira huddled on the floor. The instant protective felling washed over him. He instantly put his arm around her comforting her. "It's gonna be ok..." he mumbled.

"There isnt a way out..... and there is only a 2.9855% chance that any or all of us together will be able to make one..." the voice said.....it was also almost emotionless....however it was male.......it seemed to come from above.....

Kuro looked up waiting to see the male that had spoken but he held his tounge Kuro usually wasnt a very outspoken person

There was a pale boy, looking to be about sixteen..... he was hanging upsidedown, fron his legs...which were wrapped around an almost invisible wire hanging across the cieling.......he wore baggy loose fitting clothes and his hair, curently hanging straight up, was neck leangth...... he held himself strangely.....but most noticable of all were her eyes...which were a bright....unforgiving red.......as kuro looked up, the boy released his legs, and somehow landed perfectly on his feet......still...his posture was strange...... "My name is Yami...." he said.....

Sookie stepped slowly out of the tank, but with each step, something inside said, "Faster! Go! Go! Faster!" Soon she found herself running at a D.I.E. speed down the hallway before her.

She had no idea where she was going, only that she was going. Moving. Breathing. Alive.

As the human aspects of her mind started to click in, she began to question her whereabouts, but Sookie continued to run.

Kuro looked at Bob then continued walking straight in the direction he ha dwalked before as he thought to him self what exactly is a shredder when he thought well guess i will find out

Bob walked over to Yami while dusting off his clothes from the dust that caught its way onto his clothing when he began running across the area to find a way out. He rubbed his face innocently.."Umm I slightly overheard while running, so what is this shredder thing." he said, curiously but not scared.

"Oh...they are the small mechanichal insect like creatures that eat flesh and break it down to power the central generator. they are around four inches across, and one can strip the flesh and marrow from an adult human in six seconds." Yami said, shrugging...and twisting a lock of his hair around his finger.......

" So to clarify, these things are gonna come after us and kill us, so what do we have to defend ourselves with our fist?" he began to crack his knuckles, while that terrible thought crossed his mind making him shiver.

"No...." yami said.....now staring very intently at a space on the cieling....... he looked down at bob...... and seemingly from nowhere, pulled a tazer......it was sparking.... "Anyway......getting hit with this hurts...." yami said....sticking it on bobs arm...sending hundreds of volts through him...... "See?" he asked calmly.....

Bob twitched and fell to the floor having convulsions while the volts ran through his body, which seemed like minutes rather than seconds to him. He layed on the ground slightly exhausted and got up.."You son of a ****, why'd you go and do that." he cranked his hand back and swung his fist at yami's head.

As Sookie neared the end, she began to hear a faint pulse in her ears, which got louder as she came closer. At which, she noticed Bob and Yami in front of her, so she slowed to a stop.

She came in just as Bob yelled and went for the punch. Sookie just stood there. She had no idea what was going on.

yami was sudenly behind bob..... "What's wrong?" he asked....seeming completely clueless as to why bob was angry......

Bob stumbled and staggered, but was hopeless as he still fell to the floor surprised. He thought to himself "H-h-how the hell he dodged that, I was sure that would connect...that bastard." He stood up still wobbly while he tried to catch his feet. "Well to begin with you stung me with that tazer.. who in their right mind would do that!" he panted heavily, before finishing the sentence.

"Yeah, I'd like to know myself," said Sookie. Her eyes began to wander from the people before her to the surroundings, then back to them again.

Bob regained his composer and looked at the woman and the man standing there infront of them, completely ignoring the fact that he just got tazer by yami.."Well it seems where in some sort of facility which are supervising us and housing us here against our own will, but to add to that it if we try to escape we either will die or won't escape at all.." he turned his attention back to yami, aggravated still, but kept calm.

Yami smiled.....and handed kyle the tazer..... then he looked at bob.... "No one in their right mind would shock you with a tazer." he said calmly. "And yes, we are in an underground facilaty. it is aproximatetly three hundred miles wide, and several thousand feet below the surface..." he informed mathmaticaly...... and then, seeming to completely change gears...he again seemed to pull something from midair......this time...a spinning top....which he promptly placed on the ground and began spinning......he certainly was strange....

Kuro ran right down the hall were the shredders were supposed to be he didnt seem to care if these things could kill him or not as he ran at a high speed it seemed everything around him was moving at extremly slow speeds alowing him to trace their movements and dodge with little effort

Bob looked at Yami after shaking kyle hand, and looked up into the sky to see the rotten steel, with chips of it falling off. He slid his hands into his pockets oblivious to what Yami just said. "So approximately how old is this place?"

As kuro ran.....he would realize something...... the shredders were moving in normal motion, even with his abilaty.......without his abilaty they were incredibly quick....

Bob crouched down slowly, he arose and propelled himself at incredible speeds towards the wall. He caught himself on the wall and began to run up the wall fast, appearing next to Kuro in a matter of seconds. "Well..well..well who may you be." He pulled his foot back and slammed it into the floor creating a circular crack in the floor. Next he pulled his hand out his pocket, moving it down and raising the hugh piece of rock and swiftly through it at the machines, destroying some as they approached Kuro.

Sookie was not amused with being called "girl over there." However, Bob was soon gone.

She turned to Kyle and Yami. "I'm Sookie. Nice to meet you, although the circumstances leave a lot to be desired." She looked over at Yami's top, standing on her tip-toes, then came back to looking at the two of them. "Sooo, what's to do around here anyway?"

Bob pulled out a small device he had in his pockets, and threw it into the air as it exploded releasing a pink gas, which revealed to be an exact copy of Bob. This copy fell down beside Sookie landing softly, he took a few steps to the side and itched his arm.."Well I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend and if I did I apologize, but I didn't quite catch your name?" he replied, with an innocent smile.

Sookie took a step back from the Bob copy. "What the--What did you just do!?" This whole place was just confusing. "....I'm Sookie." She figured she'd just tell him.

Kuro ignored the shreeders if they attack him he would just take them down he could already predict their movements

"Oh I'm just a copy of someone else..no worries, anyway I'm Bob nice to meet you." Bob bend down to grab an extending stick that layed on the floor, but looked average to the eye until it was extended or put into action.

"...Alrighty then...." Sookie decided she just had to accept what happened in this place, otherwise she'd just lose her mind. "Nice to meet you, Bob."

Bob looked down as he begun to notice the floor beneath him began to shake, as if it was a scared of something that was about to happen. The ground began to crack around him, he just jumped to the side while it minimal cracks begun to form. The floor broke open, revealing a average size about the size of a human machine with short claws and steam coming out of its head.."Time to test your strength." The machine arms extended to grasp everyone in a hug motion.

Kenny seemed to be the last out the taks, as he dragged himself out, he looked around, and noticed pretty much everybody was gone. He didnt care, because the chances were he would catch them. He then proceeded to yanking out every needle and IV from his body, it was strange though because minimal blood was released to due to his unnaturally quick heart rate. With a small lean forward, he bounded down a hallway, his speed probably far greater than anybody in there, and his stamina and adrenaline would keep him going.

'What the hell is this supposed to be?" He ran around a corner, and saw machines clasping a bunch of people.

sudenly, themachine'sgrip loosened, asits body fell in half,sparking..... there stood Yami, cleaning his fingernails with a small swithchknife.....his eyes glowed sinisterly......."You shouldnt wander around...." he said quietly...... and then began walking backwords down the hallway......

Kenny looked confused. What were the machines, and why were all these people here with him?

"Hey you!" He started after Yami at speeds nobody there could match.

suddenly, yami was half an inch from kenny's face... if kenny was fast....then yami had to be thirty times faster....it was scary.....however, yami didnt seem to realise this.....he was slumped over...and began to play with the switch blade....ballencing it on one finger "Yes?" he asked...not looking at kenny...

Kenny stopped, shocked. He had no idea how the guy had got there that fast, but he didnt have time for questions. He grabbed the guy by the shoulder, and pulled him so that he was standing straight.

"What the hell is this place. And why are we here?"

Suddenly, kenny's arm was smashed backwardsso hard it would leave a bruise.....one of Yami's fingers rested on it..... but yami continued as if nothing had happened..... he was slouching again....... but he looked up slightly...."We are in a huge seiries of testing tunnels used to determine our market worth as assasins....." Yami said calmly....now jugling the switch knife danderously.....

Kenny Took a stumbling step back, but didnt get mad at all. He was impulsive, but he wasnt mad. They were all in here, and chances were they wouldnt all survive. There was no need to take out confused anger on eachother.

"Very well... So how do we pass this little test?" He looked around. It was odd that they were all unnarmed. He seemed full of energy, and didnt seem to have tired at all from the long run.

"You survive...." yami said simply....... and then.....he flipped the switchblade, and held it handle out, to kenny......

Kenny had no reason not to trust Yami, so he snatched the blade, making sure it wouldnt cut Yami. He then looked around.
"How do you know all this?"

"I know lots of stuff..."yami said......and he suddenly shoved kenny, as a huge spiked ballfellfrom above....."

As Kenny tumbled back, he rolled back to his feet, and looked at the ball. His eyes were wide open with shock. He hadnt even noticed the ball. He had to be more careful from here on out.
"Woah! That was a surprise." He looked up, making sure no giant balls would try to crush him. There were none. "Shall we be going then?"

"Sure" Yami said...hands in his pockets.....he then leaned in close and whispered.... "Dont look at the screen...." he said......

Kenny did the exact opposite. Instead of not looking, he immediately started looking for whatever screen he shouldnt have been looking at.
"What screen?"

Yami was already walking....."What screen, what screen?" he asked, as if he hadnt said anything......

there was no screen in view.....

Kenny was now really confused now. He had just said that there was a screen, and now he didnt even know what he was talking about?
"Uhh... Nevermind I suppose." He walked hesitantly, following the strange person. It was obvious there would be some difficulties working with him.

Yami spun aroun...then continued in the same direction....... "Why am i following you again?" he asked kenny....

Kenny smacked his face. He wasnt sure if he could be able to take this for extended periods of time. When he brought his hand down, showing his eyes.
"Im following you. Your leading me through this death trap."

"Oh" yami said nodding..... "I remember........" he said......and then began heading in the opposite direction he had been going before..... "We should probably not go into the poison hall then......." he said...pointing at where he had been heading.......

"You couldnt have said that earlier?!" It was obvious. This guy was insane, and chances were Kenny would die following this man. But as long as he was with somebody who knew something about this place, thats all that mattered.

"Yeah......i was buzy thinking about the color blue.......its very interesting..... anyway......i was going to tell you something.......do you remember what it was?" he asked...... then seemed to remember...... "Oh yeah.......im leading you to your first test....that way you can proceed......" he said.....and began walking towards a section of what apeered to be solid wall......

"Uhh... It kinda looks more like your leading me into a wall." It looked like a solid wall, but with this crazy man Kenny was with, chances were it might be pudding. Nothing made sense. First they were in giant tanks, now their on their way to becoming assassins?

Yami nodded......and walked through the wall........ on the other side....it was obviously a hologram........"here we are....." yami said blankly...... "After this....you will have a choice.........but it will be a dificult one......" he said....walking back through the hologram........and bars closed kenny in........

He had been tricked. Now he was stuck onthe other side of the stupid hologram. He banged and kicked at the bars.
"What the hell!!!"

Yamis face protruded into the hologram, but too far away for kenny to hit...... "Its ok......ill see you at the other end......" he said.....twirling his hair around his fingers again......

Kenny sighed, then turned back to the room he was stuck in. He would be ready for whatever happened now. Nothing could surprise him.
"I swear if i dont make it through this ill kill you from the grave."

Sudenly......a huge crash sounded from behind kenny........ a gigantic mechanichal arm had rizen from the floor.....and it had crashed down....now it was dragging itself up......and pushing upwards.......and two huge red orbs of light shone......like......huge eyes.......

The moment Kenny heard the crash, he dived forward, rolling into a crouched position, facing the mechanical figure. His eyes focused on the red orb things. This might be harder than he had expected.
"Well... At least I know it wont be that easy."

There was a mechanichal roar......and there....now fully upright, a great machine stood...it was at least sixty feet tall...the room was enourmous......but now, as lights flashed on...the red lights, while acting as eyes for the huge, skeliton like robot......were targets......

Kenny smirked, and looked around the room, seeing its vast size. He also noticed something else. He was the only person in there besides the robot. If that werent the case it would have been much easier. He backed up slowly, trying to get a good look at the machine that towered before him.
"Definitely not gonna be easy." He then felt a rush of energy, as adrenaline pumped all through his body.

a huge hand decended...trying to crush kenny.....although dificult...it could be climbable.....

Kenny stiffened for an instant, then rolled to the side, avoiding the mammoth-like hand. He did not even attempt to climb it, but came up with another idea. He pulled out the switchblade, and jammed the blade into a thick protruding wire. The machine would pull back up, and the moment he did, Kenny would be where he needed.

the machine did as predicted, withdrawing the hand.....but instead of being predictable the robot brought the other hand in to crush kenny....

Kenny looked a little surprised, but he would use this to his advantage. As he was on the first hand, he watched the second hand coming at him. He pulle dout the blade, and jumped from arm to arm. Landing on what would be the forearm of the other arm. He held on tight, then started carefully runnig up the arm, trying to get to the shoulder of the machine.

the thing spun, trying to hurl him off...but its arms wouldnt reach kennny....

Kenny was almost tossed off the arm from the spin, but luckily he caught himself. He was on all fours, grasping parts of the arm, he was almost to the shoulder. With a final confident leap, he caught the edge of the shoulder, grasping it tightly. He didnt know exactly what where the off switch was on this thing, but he figured starting to disable the thing would be fair enough to start.

"Oh god this better be worth all this, just to be a killer." He pulled himself up, and noticed a thick black wire that connected to the left arm, and with high hopes, he hacked at it with the switch blade, hoping it would disable the left arm.

It had anb effect......but not a good one....the arm was sudenly jerking spinning like crazy....the wire had been the control wire....... the robots head turned towards Kenny....and it roared again.....its eyes were painted like targets.....

Kenny wasnt about to hesitate. He was acting on impulse now. With his adrenaline rushing, he was barely in control. It was just instinct. He brought up his right foot, and with a yell, brought it back down, attempting to shatter the machines right eye.

as the foot connected.....the machine shuttered....and fell....but sudenly...kenny was being caught....and in half a second...he was somhow on the ground...... yami was hanging upsidedown from a pipe above...holding Kenny's forearm..... "See...told you i would be here......I think......" yami said, thoughtfully.....

Kenny looked up from his dangling position, at the lunatic man holding him. He wasnt sure which he felt safer. Fighting the robot, or having a crazy person hold on to his life. He looked down at the robot, with a smile of success, and then, he put the switchblade in his pocket, clasping Yami's arm with his free hand.

"it took you long enough. How did you get in here anyway... I thought the bars sealed you off."

"oh those?......they were made of plastic......and anyway, theres a door right over there......" he said...pointing with his free hand at the large double doors...... it also helps that i was driving the robot......" he said..... putting his pointer finger on his cheek in though.......then...he let kenny go....alowing him to fall several feet to the floor.....

Kenny frowned hard, then as he was dropped, landed on top of the robots back, denting the metal of the machine. He stood straight up, glaring at Yami. This man would be the death of Kenny at this rate. With a small leap, The young man was off the back of the robot, and on the safe ground. He walked toward the doors.

"You coming?"

"Yes......" yami said....... and he was sudenly in front of the doors.......which he opened........ into a hallway filled with light......

Mele weapons of choice: A long black sword with a blade who's shape resembles a katana. When fighting the blade ussually protrudes from Nexus' long cloak. Small explosives.
Guns of choice: Mark XIX .50 semi -automatic Desert Eagle pistol
Skills: Strategizing. This is what makes him so incredably dangerous. his mentality.
Abilaty: Nexus can create clones of his own body. These clones copy the objects he is carrying on them. Everything the clone senses is transmitted back to Nexus. The clones ussually don't have solid form when Nexus uses them. This is because if the clones are solid he can only create up to 5 clones at a time so most of the time the clones have no solid form and dissperse as something passes through them( though the projectile or weapon passing through them is slowed down slightly). The objects litterally pass through them as if there was nothing there. The solid clones dissperse after taking 2-3 hits to there body. Further more the clones can't do any damage. Bullets and sword strikes will go through an opponent causing no damage. Hand to hand damage is done by a solid clone though the clones can cause very little pain. They don't have the strength to brake any bones or do any fatal damage to someone.

The light was a bit too much for Kenny's eyes. He squinted a bit, and held his hand out in front of his face to see better. Where were they going. They were just in a dark hallway, and now there was nothing but light.

"So whats the next test?"

"Welllllll......" yami said....leangthening the word....... "Next......we test your eyesight and dodging......he said..... as three knives flew past yami's ear...straight at kenny.......

With the small amount of vision Kenny was getting, he could still see the knives. He leaned back into a roll, dodging the knives comploetely. When he recovered he was leaned forward on his toes, with his left hand on the ground.

"You couldnt have given me an earlier warning could you?" He looked around the bright room. His eyes had adjusted, and now he was ready.

Yami and Kenny had been gone for a while now. "Where'd those two guys go?" asked Sookie. "I'm going to go see. It's not like there's anything else to do."

She turned and went the direction they had gone, down the hallway.

"No......i wasnt paying attention....." Yami said calmly......

Suddenly....a man in a pressed silver suit stood before sookie...... his hair was black, brushed back and tidy, his skin pale....and his eyes, a shocking red..... "Hello miss.....I am here to guide you....."he said kindly.... "My name is Yami......."

"Of course you werent." He looked around the bright place, ready for any other flying object that would come hurling at him. "Now are there anymore coming?"

"What?" Yami said, confusedlyas a flurry of small spiked balls rocketed at kenny.....

"Oh my God!" Sookie yelled as she jumped back. The second Yami had scared her. She hadn't heard the first Yami say his name, so she wasn't confused about that.

"I'm sorry for yelling," she said. "Guide me? So you know about this place? Cool!" She was glad. "So where to?"

"I shall guide you to your first test" the tall man Said And Took her by the hand....

"Test? Sookie blinked a few times in confusion. "Oooohh.....right." However, she soon remembered. Her and the others weren't going to be allowed to do anything fun, let alone normal.

"Lead the way then...." she said depressingly.

"As you wish." the man said.....and led her down a side hallway.......thyere, a great red door stood....it opened...revealing a room with many holes in the wals floor and cieling...... "This is danderous, but it is the only way out......i shal meet you at the other side..... good luck...." the man said....and gently pushed her into the room....the door closed behind her........

"What?" Yami said, confusedlyas a flurry of small spiked balls rocketed at kenny.....

Taiken sighed, and bounded to the side, sprinting at unbelievable speeds to the wall to the left. The moment he reached it hid right foot collided with the metal... then his left... then his right again, until Kenny was about 9 feet from the ground. When he felt his ascension coming to a stop, he jumped back, flipping through the air, and dodging the spiked balls. One clipped Kenny's arm, putting a small gash, but it wouldnt effect Kenny too much.

"Great, a room that looks like swiss cheese." Sookie said as she looked around.

"I wonder what kind of test this could be...."

Yami clapped animatedly, as kenny dodged...and then quickly yelled...." Oh, by the way....watch out....." a huge spear made of shining metal whized towards kenny.....

just as she spoke, a bar of metal whized past her ear, and lodged itself in the opposite hole in the room...........

Kenny was almost scared, but he figured out a way to escape the spear's path. He leaned back, and shifted his body in mid-air. The spear missed, but now Kenny couldnt land on his feet. He came down to the ground with a resounding thud, and slid across the floor into the opposite wall.

"Damn that hurt." He hadnt broken any bones, but he had bruised his ribs, and there was a possibility that he might have dislocated his right shoulder. "But theres no time to piss and moan about it." He got to his feet as quickly as possible, holding his the left side of his ribs.

imediately yami was there......he punched kenny in the gut....then with a huge smile.... "Ok...test is done"

As if he wasnt hurt enough, Yami just had to punch Kenny in the stomache. It didnt hurt too much, but it hurt. He leaned forward a little bit, then recovered.

"If you werent my ticket outa here... We would have some serious problems you and I." He stood up straight, holding his ribs. "We can move on now right?"

"Yes..." yami said, giving thumbs up...even though his face looked extreemly angry....... then, he dived foreward.......and fell face down on the floor.......before standing up...and walking to the end of the room, where he opened a sliding door.....

"What the hell?" He walked after Yami, wondering why he dived forward. He questioned alot of thigns that Yami did. He punches with smiles, and gives thumbs up with frowns. He truly was an odd guide. "Is every guide in here like you? If so, I truly feel sorry."

"Oh yes.....i mean....no...i mean......we are all completely different...." yami said....yelling very loudly...... now visible through the door was an arena......no one else seemed to be there.... "Last test time...." Yami shouted, directly in kenny's ear.....

Kenny was obliged to throw a punch at Yami's jaw, but didnt. Last time he tried to handle Yami he got hit.

"And I got stuck with the lunatic guide," he mummbled. He looked at the arena, and scratched his head. "Well... Who am I supposed to fight?"

Yami began lauphing histericaly....as the arena doors slammed shut....... and then.....yami was at the other side of the arena...... "ME.....memememememememe" he yelled spasticaly...... "But im not going hard on you............" he said....and then seemed to become very interested with his toes......

Kenny smiled a bit. He had been waiting for this. He was going to pound Yami's face in as much as possible. He slowly walked into the arena circle, and watched Yami carefully.
"Your not gonna go hard on me? Dont flatter yourself... How about I wont og hard on you."

sudenly, yami was an inch away from kenny...his noze litteraly pressed against kenny's..... "Im sorry...i couldnt hear you from all the way over there....." he said..... "Oh yeah...and by the way...." yami stomped hard on Kenny's foot.....

Kenny groaned, and pushed Yami back so that he could move out the way. He moved to the side, and now he was ready.

Yami smiled widely......closed his eyes...and fell backwards...catching himself at the last moment and handspringing back.... "You first...." yami said...pointing to himself....

"Wait... who first... You or me? Your pointing at yourself." He slowly put his fists up, so that he could defend himself if Yami tried anything.

"Oh......umm.....ok...me" yami said...and he was above Kenny....he spun, and launched a crazily powerful kick at kenny's chest....

Kenny squinted his eyes, and covered his chest. The kick made contact, and Kenny seemed to lose all his breath. He was sent tumbling back, almost falling out the arena. He looked up aghast at Yami. How did he send a kick that powerful at him,

"That was a lucky kick, thats all." He got to his feet, his clothes torn and dirty from all the tests before. He looked at his arms. They were going crazy with pain, but he could manage for a while. He ran at Yami, and threw a very quick punch at his side, then another at his jaw.

Somehow, as the strikes neared, yami, pushed both Kenny's libs off course...and aimed a very quick...but thankfully avoidable punch to the shoulder at kenny....

Kenny ducked from the punch, and threw one that was aimed towards Yami's bottom rib. Taiken could feel his adrenaline rushing through him. Fueling his energy and making him faster, and even a little stronger. it was like the world was slowing a tad bit compared to him,except for Yami of course.

yami apart from being insanely fast and strong...was the most unpredictable fighter possible.....for instead of sidestepping...yami flipped upwards....and grabbed kenny's arm.....with his teeth....landing piggyback style, on kenn'ys shoulders, and using his arms to grab kennys head......

Kenny didnt even retaliate... He stood there with a "What the fuck" look on his face. When he snapped to, he then began squirming and bucking as though he were a bull, trying to throw the crazed guide off of him.

Yami let go, and hopped upwards, so that he was standing on kenny's shoulders...then, he flipped off, spreading his arms and legs out in midair....and waving at kenny....upsidedown......then, he dropped.......and fell down in a heap.......

A young figure began to move through the grey metal monotnous walls of the underground facility. His dirty brown hair seemed to fall over his eyes in a messy way. The boy didn't seem to notice. He dent his back slightly as he walked holding his thumb in his mouth appearing to suck on it. Nexus,(who was infact the figure) seemed to be contemplating the entire area moving quite slowly throughout the long halls.He eyes didn't seemed to miss anything. A blank nonchalant look was spread across his face....

"Yami?" Had Kenny won, or was this one of yami's many mental problems. Hesitantly, the potential assassin walked near his crazed guide. "Are you okay?" He kneeled next to him, and poked him in the head.

immediately yami was biting kenny's finger.....he was smiling......and he sprang up, relesing the finger, but aiming a powerful kick at kenny's ribs....

Kenny howled in pain from his bitten finger. There was no more kindness he had left for Yami.
"You dirty son of a..." He was unable to finish the sentenced, for the kick was coming straight for his ribs. He wouldnt have the power to block it good enough, so his only option was to try and dodge. He rolled back, barely moving out of range of the kick. With a grunt, he entanglesd his two legs around Yami's thrusted leg, and yanked, trying to knock Yami on his back.

Yami was sudenly hanging onto kenny's legs like a catapillar...... then he landed with kenny and slapped him very hard in the face.... "You win!!!" he yelled hapily...and proceeded to do a slightly silly dance beside kenny.......

"Thats what you call a win?!" Kenneth layed on the floor, rubbing his face where he had been slapped. He couldnt believe thats what was considered a win. It seemed much more like an epic failure. "How is that a win?!" He was going to demand they continue, but then he thought of the humiliation and pain that would inevitably accompany it, so he stayed silent while he thought it. "If I won, then I was the first right?"

"the first what?" yami asked confusedly...or perhaps he was just being an idiot....

just as she spoke, a bar of metal whized past her ear, and lodged itself in the opposite hole in the room...........
Sookie pressed herself against the wall behind her. "AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" she screamed. Her breath picked up the pace, her pulse racing.

Then she squeezed her hand into a fist and hammered it into the wall. "No....I need to be strong." She unfurled the fist and looked at the hand. "I can feel my strength. It's time I use it."

it was bleeding slightly...something had crashed into it........ and another matal bar rocketed from the ceiling at about sookie's arm level.

Sookie whipped herself sideways and tumbled into a somersault to avoid it.

When her feet were planted, she was crouching. Her left hand was against the floor before her. "So the other side, right?" She literally lept into a sprint, heading towards the supposed way out.

sudenly two metal bars sprung up, one near her right foot the other heading for her stomach....

"the first what?" yami asked confusedly...or perhaps he was just being an idiot....

"Am I... The first one... To finish?" Kenny was speaking in slow terms so that Yami would get it. Well, that and he was terribly exhausted, and couldnt speak that quickly. "Im guessing that I am." The laying man struggled to his feet, moving his body in unneccassary movements.

" yes-no." yami said.... "By which i mean yes." he said, boncing on the balls of his feet.....

A sigh of relief escaped Kenny's mouth. It was somewhat obvious he was first tough, nobody else was around except for the psycho and himself.

"Well thats a relief. Do you know if anybody is near finishing?"

"Well some other girl is starting with my honor....." Yami said sounding thoutfull....

Nexus continued on in his slow contemplating stride. He didn't miss a single detail. The single shape of a jagged rock, the feel of the cool damp air. Nothing went past his aware senses. His thumb found it's way back into his mouth as he walked studying the walls. He came to a sudden dead end and then turned sharply walking backwards down the hall.

Sudenly, a small girl was standing in front of nexus.... "Exuse me...are you lost?" she asked kindly......

The Bob next to kuro disappeared, and the other clone clone that was beside sookie disappeared along with it, revealing bob emerging from a crack in the ground and begun dusting himself off to see sookie getting attacked, his hair swayed back and forth before he yelled.."You need any help?"

"I don't know am I?" he said mysteriously. "If I was lost then I wouldn't have an idea of where I was going but I'm going thatway so therefore I do know where I'm going. So no I'm not lost....unless.......Hmmm..." he seemed to be very contradictive of himself. He stared the girl in the eye. An odd peircing stare that seemed to look through her skull into the insides of her body. "You tell me."

Sookie twisted herself to pull her body to the right in order to avoid the pole to her stomach. However, doing so caused her right foot to bump into the one shooting up by it. So after dodgng harm's way, she tripped and fell onto her back. "Ugh...."

She quickly moved to pull herself back up.

"You and my insanity would get along..." the girl gigled.... "And yes....i think you are lost....for you are heading the wrong way..." she said...and gently sheperded him to the far wall.....which opened up.....

as if taking advantage of her vulnerable moment, more bars decended to spear her.....

Nexus was pulled along with his tounge lolling out of his mouth like a dog sticking there head out the window. He seemed to be in some kind of daze. When he was at the wall he seemed to return to his original self. His odd nonchalant gaze returned to his eyes as he began scanning everything with a thourough scruntity. "Thanks.." he muttered not paying attention to the girl.

Bob scratched his head in lost as to what is going on, he looked around the facility to see no one around him "It appears I'm alone." He began walking towards a door that had been opened from the beginning. Could this be the way out?

as he walked towards it, a blast of fire rocketed out at him....

Bob jumps to the side rolling on the floor in amazement as to where that fire came from. Soon after he began dusting himself off once more and squinted his eyes looking to see if other attack like that would approach again.

Nexus walked through the opening not seeing whether or not the girl follow. He was expecting the damp stone and metallic tang in the air in the next room but he didn't see very much to base this by. Everything seemed to dark in the decripid facility.

Kenny sighed. It sucked being the first person done, because there was nobody else, except for Yami, to keep him company. All he could do was twiddle his thumbs and wait.

"So, why have we been chosen as potential assassins Yami? Is there any particular reason?"

Since getting up was now not an option, Sookie threw herself into a roll. "There must be sensors on the ground or something. This is ridiculous!"

After rolling out of the way, the next time she came to being on her stomach, Sookie pushed off the ground with her hands and got back to her feet. She then returned to running for the other side. "Come on, come on. I can do this."

"Sorry...cant tell you." yami said.....looking at his arm....and licking it...then making a funny face.....

as she ran more bars crashed behind her, and then, one headed straight for her head......it wa too fast to dodge...and......sookie was suddenly pulled upwards through the cieling...where the man from before was inspecting her for injouries..... "Are you allright miss?" he asked, sounding concerned.

then a light flashed on nexus...as the girl followed.....

Sookie looked around confused for a moment, but being out of there was good. Very good. Who cares how that happened?!

"I think so....Yeah, I think I'm good."

"Ugh... Of course you cant. So then tell me this. What happens to us after this?" This was the thing he was most concerned about. If they were really to become assassins, who would they be assassinating. Political icons? Influencial leaders? Or just the man that didnt pay his speeding ticket. There were hundreds of questions running through Kenny's head, but he knew they couldnt all be answered.

"After this....?" yami asked..shaking his head sadly...though he had a grin on his face..... "Are you quite sure you want to know?" yami asked....but there was an element to his voice that was absant before......it was.....could it be anger?

[Sunny]

Bob kept walking after he saw nothing coming towards his way again, for safely he picked up the metal staff that was on the ground several minutes ago when everyone was around him. His steps quickened with his hands in his pocket as he neared the door.

[schrodinger]

a high pressure stream of water slammed bob against the opposite wall......and dark lauphter emitted from beside bob...it was a tall pale man who was wearing a swirling red cloak....

[Sunny]

Bob slid down the wall emotionless, coughing up water that entered his mouth. His head turned slowly as he looked up at the man.."Who could this man in this cloak be." He thought, his clothes slagged to the side and he made his way back to his feet still looking at the man.."Who are you?"

[schrodinger]

"My name is yami....." the man said...and took a sarcastic bow....

[Silver Cross]

"After this....?" yami asked..shaking his head sadly...though he had a grin on his face..... "Are you quite sure you want to know?" yami asked....but there was an element to his voice that was absant before......it was.....could it be anger?

"I asked didnt I? So im pretty sure that I want to know." Kenny detected the anger in his voice, but thought little of it. To Him it was just a part of his bi-polar activity. If it was something serious, it would catch the young man completely off guard.

[Sunny]

Bob continued to look at the man. "Are you the one that stun me earlier with a tazer or your a different yami." He began tieing the metal stick to his back using a piece of fabric from his shirt.

"After this....you will be sold as property to some random politician and probably used as a bullet sheild......just because you can be......and if you arent....it will likely be because you are broken down fitted with a new personality...and i will meet you here again......not that you will remember....

Nexus's eyes narrowed adapting to the light as it flashed on. Slowly the light became less and less bright till it was sae to see again without becoming temprarily blinded. He walked furthur into the room ready for anything.

there standing in the room...was a pole in the midle of the room it had blades coming off it all down and around it....at the bottom...was a key......

Nexus already had an idea of what the pole did. "What now?" he asked. It was odd. He didn't ask why he was there. He seemed to already know. He also had an idea of what to do next but he wanted clarification from the girl.

"well...i would get the key to open the next room...." she said..... "But it looks a bit danderous...." she said...seeming slightly frightened.

"Ok!" Nexus said happily. He lept forward with astonishing speed charging towards the pole. As he was approacing the blades he pushed off the ground landing on one of the blades on one foot. He was crouched so low that the next blade was farther up. He was distintantly aware of a blade that seemed right next to him. He reached down to grab the key.

sudenly, the blades around him snapped forward to meet him...if even one hit...it would leave more than a scratch.....

Nexus' eyes narrowed. Suddenly he lept upwards as a blade came flying at him from the side. He narrowly missed a blade flying toward him from above now on the edge of the blade he pushed of of it as another blade came to nail him from the sky. He was now falling towards the ground. A blade shot at him from below and the side. As he was falling he pushed off the flat of the blade to escape the one from below. Now more were coming in towards him as he landed on the next blade. He lept upwards casusing two blades to crash together. He landed nimbly on the blade that had just crashed into each other. He thrust himself to the side as a blade crashed from the top. He landed on another blade on the opposite side of the pole then where the key was located. He lept into the air to dodge another blade. This was proving to be hard work.

[Sunny]

Bob came into the hallway to where the big open door was, the lights swayed left to right blinking continuously showing that they were gonna die out sooner or later. He continued walking down the big rusty hallway with his hands in his pocket without a care in the world, before nearing a big shining light revealing some sort of area.."This seems to be the biggest room in the facility." his head strained at how big the room was.

"Biggest? no...not even close....." the cloaked man said softly.....

Kenny looked as though he had been struck in the face with a mallet. Sold or mind erased so that they could try and sell him again. Those werent really the best choices he could think of.

"Sold? Im not property for sale buddy. And why a bullet shield? Anybody can do that?" He dropped back down, slouching over in mental defeat.

[Sunny]

Bob startled at how fast the man came close to his side, he turned around and looked at the man closely.."How do you do that, I mean how to you appear so fast?"

As Nexus fell another blade shot towards him from the top trying to slice him in half vertically. A blade shot at him from below the blade pointed up towards him. He grapped the flats of the blade and did a flip maneuver off the blade narrowly dodging the blade trying to slice him. He landed on another blade that whirled him to the the attempting to send him flying into another blade. He lept upward landing on a blade flying in the opposite direction. He lept up on a blade crashing downwards. Nexus thrusted himself to the side off the blade as it slammed into the ground. He landed on a nearby blade.That flew forward. As if in a final attempt to cut him up. Multiple blades launched at him from every conceivable direction. Nexus lept up and pushed off the pole grabbing the key as all the blades slammed into each other in the place where he had been standing. As he landed infront of the girl the entire pole collapsed as well as the blades which had all crashed into each other causing a strain in the pool holding them till it broke sending splinters of wood every where. "Done!" he said with a smile. He had escaped unscathed.

"Yes....anyone can do that......as far as the law says, you are the same as one of the little plastic toys all the children are so fond of, exept subsatntialy more expensive......" yami said....... "I have already seen you twice today in case you wondered...." yami said.......he seemed genuinely sad for once.....

As nexus finished the girl clapped and cheered animatedly...then skipped over to him....... "Youdid it! she yelled happily...then led him on to the next hallway..... "This test is simple...." she said.... and opened a sliding metal door...motioning him inside......

The cloaked man grinned...... "No reason you need know...you will probably not remember in a day or two anyway...."

[Sunny]

"What do you mean I won't remember, tell me whats going to happen please?" Bob seemed slightly worried, but kept his composer.

[Silver Cross]

The only thing that Kenny really caught, was twice. He thought for a moment. He hadnt seen Yami twice today. All the time since he'd found him was one. What did he mean twice?

"Twice? What do you mean twice? I've done this more than once?"

[schrodinger]

"well....kinda......you failed the last test last time...." Yami said....shrugging.... "I went too hard then..... so i eased up this time......either way......theres no point saying more......cause unless something changes, ill be saying these exact words again in about nine hours......

the man in the cloak chuckled...and said nothing.....

[Sunny]

Bob sighed at the fact the man didn't respond, "So am I the only one of this group who hasn't received a test or I've went through tests already?"

[Silver Cross]

It was hard for Kenny to accept all of this in one gulp. He felt all discombobulated now, and seemed to go cross eyed momentarily. It was going to take him a minute to let all this soak in.

"Well... Thats alot to take in over coffee, but crying wont change anything. Now, since I passed this time, im in the clear right" Just the thought of doing this over and over gave Kenny the creeps.

"you want a test?" the man asked...... and sudenly, he grabbed Bob by the neck and tossed him into a hole that opened in the floor.......

[Sunny]

Bob flew down in the hole and grabbed on the edge of the hole holding himself up momentarily and pulled himself from the hole.."What the hell man, you call that a test." He dusted himself off and looked at the man.

[schrodinger]

"Well...yes and no......" yami said..... and he sudenly stabbed kenny through the chest will a switchknife........it sunk in deeper and deeper...spearing kenny in the heart........as kenny's life faded....yami whispered in his ear.... "I will save you the only way i know how......now sleep......." yami said this...and he closed his eyes.....then....he said something to the computer....
"We have one......useless.....couldnt finnish..." he said..... "Understood...disposing of glitch..." the computer said...and kenny fell down, through an open space in the floor......... when he woke up....he would be in a white room........in a soft bed.....with bloody bandages around his chest......

the cloaked man smiled evily...and kicked bob into the hole....at the bottom there was a perfectly round room with a pole in the middle....the walls were spiked....

Kenny woke with a start, swinging with a crazed fury. The last thing he currently remembered was being stabbed through the chest. The fury didnt last either, for pain made the young man drop back onto the bed. He sat for a moment, and thought of those events. He vividly thought of the stab in the chest, but as he thought, he remembered something else. Yami said something, something about saving him.

[Sunny]

Bob feel threw the hole and began to grab on the pole sliding down to a stop before he hit the bottom and looked up at the man.."So what am I suppose to do down here?"

[schrodinger]

there was no answer...and the hatch closed....plungin the area into tatal darkness........a ftt....sound happened...and barely visible...a spike had buried itself near bob's ear.....

As kenny woke up..someone entered the room....it was a woman...her hair was an odd blue color..... she walked to him, sitting in a chair next to him.... "Hello there...seems you have awoken......welcome to freedom...." she said softly...carefully pulling back kenny's bandages to show that there was no wound on him.....no scar...... "How is the residuall pain?" she asked kindly......

[Silver Cross]

Kenny didnt listen to the woman, but waited until the bandages were removed, then made his move. He pounced on the woman, yanking her off the chair and forcing her against a wall.

"What the hell is this woman." He held her by the neck, ready to snap her neck like a twig if she didnt give him answers. Beads of sweat started to form on his brow, and his adrenaline started pumping like mad.

The woman looked terified...... "I....I dont know.......what do you mean....please let me go...." she said shaking slightly....

"Alrighty!" Nexus skipped after her with an odd. Smile. It was mix between his unnusual contemplative gaze and some peculier mix between curiosity and lust. He was ready for the next test.

[Silver Cross]

"Where the hell am I... And wheres Yami?" He tightened his grip a little, but not too much, for he still needed her to talk. He wanted answers, and if he didnt get them, people would die.

[schrodinger]

"Yami?.....which one?" the woman asked....trying deperately to pry kenny's fingers off her neck..... "And...you are in the emergency unit of the resistance base....." she said...choking slightly...

[Sunny]

Bob stood in the darkness and felt a prick against his ear, his hands reached inside of his pocket to reveal alittle ball that layed inside his pocket the whole time. He threw it down and it broke against the spikes revealing a sharp light throughout the room, he smiled somersaulted onto one of the spikes with one foot and flipped onto the other one to see a door, but it was covered in spikes.

On one foot he grabbed the metal pole that layed strapped to his back the whole time. His hands entered a circular motion as the metal pole began spinning around in the air, grazing each spike causing sparks to fly in the air. In one powerful slash, he sliced through the door causing the spike attached to it to fall and he jumped through seeing nothing, but a bright light in his eyes that blinded him for a moment.

and durring thaty moment he was kicked mercilessly in the nuts by the tall cloaked man.. "That's cheating....but technichaly you pass...." he said sounding annoyed....

[Silver Cross]

"Resistance? What resistance?!" He pulled the woman forward, to the pont where their noses were touching. "Yami... The lunatic one!" He slammed her back against the wall, and let go of her, sitting back on the bed. "Forget all the other questions. What am I doing here?"

[Sunny]

Bob fell to the ground in pain dropping the metal pole to the floor. He rolled around and squirmed in pain.."What the hell was that for." He got up with tears in his eyes and sent his foot into the mans nuts.."Ha and by the way what now?"

[schrodinger]

She fell to the ground as she was slammed with such force..... she got up wincing.... "Oh......so insanity......this makes a lot more sense now......" she said...... "At the moment you are recuperating from being chopped into bits by a computer controlled disposal unit......im guessing that insanity decided to spare you the pain of being shredded......exept....with his mind...i guess he decided that the best way to do it....would be to kill you less painfully....." she said to kenny.... "And....you are here the reason we are all here......because we were lucky enouph to escape being slaves......assasin slaves......" she said darkly....

Bobs leg was imediately slammed into the ground before it reached it's target.... "Well...now......assuming you have no complaints....im going to shove you into a room where you will probably die...the man said casually....

[Silver Cross]

Kenny didnt have as much trouble taking this in as he had the last bit of information that he had recieved. He nodded his head, clearing it all up in his head.

"If we're are the resistance. Then whats our purpose? What do we resist?"

[Sunny]

"Shove me into a room, I don't want to die." He brought his leg back with not a feeling of pain in it at all, he scartched his head.."Have you died before?"

[schrodinger]

Exactly what was about to happen to you..... we resist the maket gained in human slavery.....we resist......the government...that has done this to us....." she said.....and picked up a small scalpal, drawing it quickly across her arm and whimpering quietly in pain as blood began to pour out......but then it stopped....and the cut closed shut like a zipper...leaving no mark.....

"oh yes......more times than i can count....." the man said quietly.... and shoved bob into a newly opened door...inside was....another hallway.......it was a maze.....

Nexus strode happily to the door and pushed it open. He found this whole ordeal quite intriguing and exhilirating. He already had thougths about his next test. If it was as fun as the last one. Then he must have hit the lottery.

Kenny was amazed at what happened.

"How did you do that?" He was tempted to try it on himself, but thought better of it. "Is that some kind of mutation or special power?" Now he had loads of thoughts racing through his brain. He wanted every single one to be answered, but there was no time.

[Sunny]

Bob appeared in a new room, he began to walk through the cornered filled room wondering, "How the hell he got into this shit mess in the first place," he then bolted off turning from corner to corner before coming to another light filled room, but this was brighter than the rest. What could this mean?

[schrodinger]

on the cieling were big neon letters..... "Going up" they said...with a smiley face at the end...... and sudenlly the cieling opened....and the floor began to rize.....

"Special power......no.....curse would be more aurate....." she said saddly.... and sat down again on the chair....."You will never sleep again...." she said "You can try...but you will regret it....." she said....shivering.....

Nexus walked into the bright room. Again the brilliant light blinded him hiding it's contents.

inside was a chessboard........on a raised shiny metal table.......

"Never sleep? Why not? Do I have that curse too?" He felt like he was about to go insane with all this craziness and mental chaos fluttering through his mind.

[Sunny]

Bob emerged into this room to see nothing but a blank stage, the floor was decorated with black and white squares. His head turned and looked in all directions. "When will I get out of here."

[schrodinger]

"who knows...." the voice of the cloaked man echoed.....and huge chess pieces roze from the squares.......

"Yes.....we all have that curse......she said...... and...there are other things.......but in any case......i shouldnt worry you about those untill you have fully recovered....." she said....

[Silver Cross]

Kenny looked at himself, he felt minimal pain, in fact, he felt great.

"Well im feeling pretty recovered right now. I want out of here now." He got to his feet, stretching a bit as his muscles were a little stiff. He found a new black shirt, and threw it on. It fit just the way he wanted, sexy tight. "Now, what happened to the others that were there with me? Are they here too?"

[schrodinger]

"No...not yet......but yami may find a way to get them here with luck......" she said..... "And you may leave at any point......but be careful not to get lost...."
