Like one the price will be reguled by the normal market rules, and i am talking about very way to control it the business that would be involved will help with it because no one wants illegal enemies on the market xD plus you ll have to get a docs recipe to get it its not like you are going to go to the grocery to get some xD still you have to remember that if you are an addict they will prescribe you ...

There have been some new studies for medical marijuana that make legalizing weed even harder to combat. Scientists/Doctors think it can "modify" disease.

    Spoiler

It is also being stated that medical marijuana can slow the growth of cancerous cells in the body.

    Spoiler

Also, it has been confirmed that it is impossible for a user to overdose on cannabis.

    Spoiler

So, to those who oppose medical marijuana legalization, what do you think of this new research; and to those who agree with legalizing medical marijuana, how do you feel about this new research?

First of all, this is not new in anyway.

Second of all, just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean it can't happen. Now I'm not saying people will overdose on weed but you can overdose on pretty much anything. Just like people say weed cannot give you cancer when in actuality not having cancer can give you cancer. I forget the exact logic behind it, forgive me but it was a couple years ago but I know it has to do with the condition of the cells.

Thirdly, the reasons stated for using medical marijuana are in my opinion bullshit. Yes, they are true however there are already drugs on the market that do exactly what they say the purpose of medical marijuana is.

Fourthly, no, I'm not anti-weed. I'm anti-weed to the stupid. Which is exactly why I'm against it being legal. There are too many god damn idiots out there who do nothing but get high already, if it's legal then well shit. No analogy, no afterthought. Just shit.
Clearly I have no faith in society.

Preclinical and clinical data concludes that cannabinoids can reduce the spread of specific cancer cells via apoptosis (programmed cell death) and by the inhibition of angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels).

Even if they get cancer from...not having it...the cannibas will supposedly slow the growth of the cancerous cells.

Thirdly, the reasons stated for using medical marijuana are in my opinion bullshit. Yes, they are true however there are already drugs on the market that do exactly what they say the purpose of medical marijuana is.
That may be true but medical marijuana can do things most drugs cannot. For example, I don't think legal drugs can give you a "euphoric" feeling.

I'm not sure, but I think you think(lol) that I meant total legalization of weed. I meant legalization as in you can only obtain it by prescription. So, most potheads won't be able to get "legal" weed. Now the illegal shit is a different story.

I read that...and you said it was impossible. I said it's possible to overdose on anything.
If you drink about 35 or 40 cups of orange juice it's likely you will overdose on vitamin C.
Just because no one has yet doesn't mean it isn't possible.

No it isn't however that has nothing to do with the health of the sick person unless you want to bullshit me an example.

It is physically impossible for a human to overdose on weed because a lethal dose is so ridiculously high, there is no way a human could reach or exceed it. Unless they invent THC from concentrate it is a physical impossibility for a weed smoker to overdose on weed.

Well, if you have cancer and it is depressing you, wouldn't you want something to lift your spirits? And medical marijuana does just that.

Yeah, so is the amount of vitamin C that can kill you. No jackass is gonna eat 40 oranges. Either way, you can OD on pretty much everything and you just admitted it too. You said there is a lethal dose...

Well, if you have cancer and it is depressing you, wouldn't you want something to lift your spirits? And medical marijuana does just that.
So basically the only purpose of legalizing it is to get high but because people are gonna use the cancer card no one can say no because then that makes them a jackass.
And also, if I was depressed and got high, after I came off that high I would probably be more depressed. You can run out of weed.

    So, to those who oppose medical marijuana legalization, what do you think of this new research;
    I just have one question?
Why not simply extract all of the good stuff (And turn that into simple medicine) and do away with the actual weed?

    Think about it
all the nice medically goodness of a stoner without the nasty side effects of bad breath, bad haircuts and bad choice of clothing.
Well, if you have cancer and it is depressing you, wouldn't you want something to lift your spirits? And medical marijuana does just that.
    So does a clown
and at least he goes away after he is done (Or are we gonna treat people for clown addiction?)

You do know doctors can prescribe anti-depressants that do exactly what you want
    and are less harmful?/annoying
