Village Rating Thread #1 - Konohagakure

Konohagakure (木ノ葉隠れの里, Konohagakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden Among Tree Leaves"; also known as "Village Hidden in the Leaves" or "Hidden Leaf Village") is the Hidden Village of the Land of Fire. As one of the five Great Ninja Villages, Konohagakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Hokage. There have been five Hokage, the most recent being Tsunade. On a mountain overlooking the village from the north exists the Hokage Monument. Although Konoha, much like the country in which it resides, has been relatively peaceful since the end of the Third Shinobi World War, it remains one of the most powerful villages in existence, and has great military power and influence, though this has waned in the past three years following the attacks by Orochimaru and Pain.

Well it is the most *normal* village. Somewhat modern technology, the most realistic buildings, and normal citizens. Still, I like it's diversity. It's home to the most clans of the series, as well as most of the good characters. :P

I think the will of fire is a great... metaphor? Whatever it is, it's perfect for the theme of Naruto. Perfect 10 from me.

Literally all of your post can be countered by reminding you of the fact that Kishimoto fails in terms of development and the only reason what you say is true is because he hasn't "wasted his time" by developing the other parts of the world.

I did enjoy the chapters that were featured in the village though. And I take back what I said - I hate the Sand Village. xD That one is worse.

That was true in part 1, but in part 2 that point kind of fails. We've seen way more of the world now, and actually have dozens of characters from different villages. We also know far more about their history than we did before.

Invasion of Konoha is and probably will always be my favourite arc (you should make it the next thread >_>). Not to mention all the other awesome shit that happens in the village.

Absolutely not. You're comparing full knowledge to (barely) partial knowledge as if they are the same. You can compare Konoha to Suna, sure. But every other village? No way. As for your technological point...did you not see where Pein was during his first appearance?

Absolutely not. You're comparing full knowledge to (barely) partial knowledge as if they are the same. You can compare Konoha to Suna, sure. But every other village? No way. As for your technological point...did you not see where Pein was during his first appearance?

Well obviously we know more about Konoha than other villages because it's the main village... But just because we don't know as much doesn't mean it's worth it. The villages are all diverse and unique in their own ways.

About technology, Ame is different. I don't really take it into consideration with technology.

In terms of my favourite villages;

Yukigakure > Kirigakure > Kumogakure > Konohagakure > Sunagakure > Iwagakure.

They're just the five great villages, mind you. Regardless, even being third, Konoha is a favourite, so 8/10.
