The issue off a majority making a ruling is only flawed when it is impervious to change. For example let us reexamine the issue of slavery. A majority of the country and world for that matter believed in the tenants of slavery. That same majority later decided that slavery was wrong. If we voted and said that a majority vote could never be overturned then we would have a problem. And the reason for official threads is so that people notice them and avoid making duplicate threads. BD mods have a lot to do and its not fun sorting through deleting threads that are duplicates. It is especially depressing when people actually put a lot of work into setting them up. Thats my brief 2 cents on the issue.
