This is the official Naruto vs. Sasuke thread.

Location: Valley of the End.
Mindset: In-character. (However, both are fighting to kill)
Abilities: As last seen in the manga. Everything goes. Sage Mode, Mangekyou Sharingan, Kyuubi cloak etc.

Since these two happen to be the most documented and frequently growing characters, feel free to debate from manga to manga and several scenarios in the two characters' current condition.

Sasuke can out speed naruto(notice not the ninetail which has nothing to do with Naruto) but when Naruto goes nine tail Sasuke can keep up with his speed by relying on his cursed seal and unlike Naruto he has never lost his temper during his cursed seal stage NEVER!! and can still think strait. The only reason Sasuke doesn't fight for his freind is bacause he needs to do something first and that is to kill his bro. who has Sasuke fill with hate and who wouldn't, Itachi murder Sasuke parents(his) in front of his bare eyes which is the hardest think you can see, Naruto past doesn't compare to Sasuke past there's a big different Sasuke fight to return some dignity to himself and restore his clan and Naruto fight only to receive respect and be acknowledge by his people you clearly see some big different, it's said over and over again in the show that Sasuke and Naruto path are simaler yet they don't walk together the same walkside for the certain reason i stated. Let first start with just one of many way how sasuke can fight the kyubi- Sasuke does has the capacity to actually prevent naruto go to demon, by guess what by strategy again but not presicely by chidori but by sasuke sharingan and curesed seal both at the same time, when he needs to reduce the nine tail chakra he can compress his chakra and when the nine tail brings it back again(which he is vow to do but at least will give Sasuke more time) Sasuke can fight it with the cursed seal keeping up to the demon speed and power by doging it most of them and preventing serious injuries by combining those to stuff Sasuke can manage to keep the nine tail with the fight of his life. Now the that is settle let see how chidori can beat rasenga- you see it might be true that Rasenga can overpower Chidori but do notice this only when they collide among each other because the wind element has an advantage over lightning but what Chidori lacks in power it makes it up in strategy. I already said this before but in this topic specific you can't win by power alone both Chidori and whatever version of Rasenga can provide the same result wich is killing obviously one greater than the other but with the same result which it make no sence what so ever which one is stronger but as i said before Chidori wasn't build to overpower Rasenga but to outsmart it, Chidori gives the user more option than just relying on power alone the Chidori can be consume by the user all over his body as a defense mechanism it can also use its currents of lighning on a blade to enter the enemy wound and attack from the inside out hitting every vital organ inside of the enemy having the same result on the enemy that the Rasenga would it had too if attack with just a normal Rasenga attack, but i do agree if we keep this up no one would win unless some one has the guts to admit his wrong, I do think Rasenga can over power Chidori when collide only but Chidori can defenetly beat it by strategy and not relying on power alone Oh and IF NARUTO USES RASENGA OR ODAMARASENGA OR WIND ELEMENT SHURIKEN SASUKE CAN JUST TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT TO POWER HIS FIRE JUTSU EVEN MORE . This is another example of strategy if Naruto went close range to Sasuke with a Rasenga, Sasuke can use that moment to stab Naruto with his sword sure he might get hit but thanks to Chidori defensive mechanism he would come out on harm at least with no serious injuries now Sasuke can open up a wound to conduct Chidori's currents thru his sword to Naruto's vital organs, so you see knowing that Rasenga can disapher Chidori Naruto went and do the abvious thing. Sasuke can now use Chidori in a much effective way which is attacking from the inside out since naruto already made his move. The power of Rasenga doesn't rely on power but in strategy to beat anyone who thinks Rasenga is better. i know i jump out a lot of steps but that is what strategy is all about. The secret is STRATEGY to beat an user Rasenga with Chidori beacause chidori it allows you to strategies unlike rasenga.

Um well apart from the fact that this fight has kinda all ready happened i would
say Sasuke because he would be willing to kill Naruto were as Naruto wants to save Sasuke
but when it came down to it Naruto would turn Sasuke in to a frog

i wrote a simple background from both chararacter(naruto and sasuke) and also discuss why chidori is better than rasengan or any other version of rasenga by comparing it to chidori nagashi. If you read and still not convince than discuss it with me

Next time leave it simple. I am inclined to say Sasuke as well. Naruto is too much of a loose unruly cannon.

Naruto's new rasengan made a gigantic freaking hole in the ground.

Are you serious i'm not even considering the prototype rasengan with no elemental wind add it cause it has been proven that chidori is better when they face up in the waterfall- sasuke's chidori beat naruto's prototype rasengan. Who care about that particular episode and you're badly mistaken Chidori is an S-rank jutsu. Stop avoiding my theories and how about answer one of them, what ever version of Rasengan they all provide the same damn! result which is killing his target the same thing chidori does when hit...so how does that make rasengan better? we all know chidori can become as deadly as any other rasengan by providing the same result which is killing it's target but unlike rasengan chidori allow you to strategice which is something sasuke can manipulate as second nature that why he developed the nagashi chidori- to actually strategice himself and and rely both on power and strategy to beat a resengan user(naruto) his option are not limited. I do agree that chidori burn a lot of chakra but that's nothing compare to what Wind Elemetal Shuriken effects cause on it's user- it takes life away from you thus breaking bones of your arm, leaving the user handicap as it been proven in the manga. My personal opinion is that odamarasengan is way better improvement than the elemental one with wind added as supposedly an improvement.

Rasengan is better.
Idc what you think about it.
It's better.
Chidori is stand in the Uchiha blood.
Rasengan is known by 3 of the greatest ninja ever....and Naruto.
Notice the effects also.
Sasuke's went right through Naruto.
Naruto's destroyed Kabuto's insides.
But didn't go through him cause Kabuto jumped back.
