Kisame is said to be the second strongest in Akatsuki.
Kisame's sword sucks chakra so the genjutsu won't work. Thoughts?

I think itachi wouldn't get close enough to kisame and let him suck his chakra out...
he knows what this sword is capable of and he wouldn't let his guard down to this point...

I also think that even if Itachi copies anything Kisame can throw at him, Kisame could just keep doing the same jutsu and eventually from simply the girth of his chakra, he would overpower Itachi. Kisame already knows the stress that Itachi's eyes are going through. That is my opinion though. I am also inclined to think that maybe Kisame has some sort of Kekkei Genkai or specialized technique. I mean... LOOK AT HIM. He looks like a freakin shark for crying out loud.
